I agree that the penalty seems a little harsh. And seeing as how there has not been one expansion pick yet, maybe Gerald can work something out. However, it is also important for the expansion teams to know exactly who will be availalbe in the regular draft when making our expansion selections. It is a big deal to know if Portis, Westbrook, Bennett, etc. are available or not at the regular draft.

ChickN:
In all of your talking this pre-season, you failed to mention that the Wizards whipped your ass last year.
Small detail I guess...

Fellow new owners,
I would definitely be interested in entertaining an offer to swap picks to move up in the expansion draft. I have the #5 and #6 back-to-back picks to offer.
Let me know.

Gerald:
Will the expansion owners know the keeper players of the rest of the league prior to the expansion draft? It would be nice to get a sense of what players will be available in the regular draft when selecting our expansion players.
As ChickN mentioned in an earlier post, this information is valuable in influencing "draft strategy."
Thx

If owners desire, can we trade positions in the expansion draft?

Does Gerald know something we don't about the team formerly known as the Bungals? Palmer, Johnson & Johnson...
I like Palmer's skills and think he will be a good NFL QB, but he will have some growing pains. To have him at the position he does will be valuable for years to come. Not much better than average in 2004.
C. Johnson and A. Johnson will be top WRs this year despite the double teams. I like CJ & AJ the most of his keepers. This WR core will be a force for years to come.
I am not sold on R. johnson and Mr. Perry will quickly emerge as the RB of the future for this team---Dillon type skills but with a much better work ethic and his head is screwed on correctly.
Marcel Shipp has not proven that he can produce over the course of 16 games, but at times has shown to be one hell of a workhorse. Shipp will be serviceable will put up good fantasy numbers.

Welcome to the league Chicken Who.
I too am new to the league, but it seems like a well organized league and a good group of men and women!
ChickN is the biggest talker of the bunch from what I can gather. I am excited for the expansion draft. It should be interesting. Gerald informed me that there are 5 new owners and the draft list will be completed soon.
As I mentioned to ChickN, don't even think about taking S. Christie!
Good Luck and talk to you soon.
Chris (AKA 4 inches as ChickN likes to call me).

ChickN:
How about a revised Mock Draft with only four teams?

I am in an interesting postion in the draft. I could go Manning and Culpepper to try to trade a top QB later, I could go Hines, Coles, and Mason to grab WRs and do the same, I could go Bulger, Moss, Smith/Chambers to build a solid core for the future. Or as you mention, I could trade up.
Many options at this point!

Based on your Mock, I would have Tiki & Manning after my two picks. Likely, but may not be the direction I am heading... Given your likely outcomes, I would say that 4th & inches is in trouble. Tiki as my #1, Staley as #2 and TJ at #3 leaves many questions at RB would'nt you say?
