Everything was going so good in Shortbus land. A five game winning streak and a 5-1 record. Going in to week 7 facing a team that was 1-5 things looked good. Then all of a sudden the bottom fell out. The team i played had the Ravens D, they score 33 points, damn it. I'm 5-2, but that's ok i'm still in first place and going up against a 3-4 team in week 8. I was pretty confident going into the week 8 game. But besides Tiki, nobody else decided to show up. And of course the team i play has Trent Green and Marvin Harrison, and of course the Colts are playing the Chiefs. So you know what that means, points, points and more points. So 37 from Green and 28 from Harrison, and all of a sudden i'm 5-3 and now tied for first in my division. But luckily i have the tie breaker for first. So things are still looking alright. Coming into week 9 i felt the pressure of needing a win. Unfortunatly i was facing a hot team that was also 5-3 and needing to win. I felt pretty good about my chances this week. I debated all the way to about the last minute if i should start Morris or Bennett, or maybe go 3 wide with either Morton or Davis or Taylor. I finally settled on Morris, not bad, got me a touchdown. But damn it Travis Minor had to come in take carries and yards away from Morris. Everything started out good with Ward getting a couple of touchdowns and Tiki ending the day with a couple of touchdowns. But whats that going on on channel 716 with the Saints/Chargers game. Oh wait, it's a damn Tight end beating me with 3 touchdowns. And Aaron Brooks looking like crap. So now i'm in a 3 game skid and fighting for a playoff spot. Well i just wanted to get this off my chest and share my thought with you all. This week i got 4th & Inches. McGahee is looking pretty good, damn it. But then again, what's a good aspiren for a struggling QB? The answer: the Cheifs defense. Well, we're rounding the last corner of the season in the NHFFL. Good luck to you all.
