Here are some quick thoughts by the Chicken.
(1) Glad that the Wizards got some sort of resolution. My Dallas Cowboys D last year picked up over 80 pts in 10 games thats a great average as far as Team D goes. So pickin up the Ravens isnt as shocking to me as it might be to others.
(2) Pennington is a great QB period - would have taken him over Bulger
(3) Nobody loaded up on one position as I would have done as an expansion team. I give James and Gang Green the edge in the expansion draft simply due to the fact they have 3 rbs and one of those 3 happen to be PRIEST holmes.
(4) Ham-Head made a tactical error by not picking up a stud RB. I believe he is the #15 overall pick this year and that will not land him a starting RB. I would strongly advise that he NOT protect 5 guys. Charlier Garner is an ideal #2 or 3 RB but in that RBBC u cant rely on him as your #1 guy.
(5) The overall rosters of each expansion team are all strong. THis was like xmas in july for these newbies.
(6) everyone took too many wrs in the draft i think and of the teams i would say the COLES + BOLDIN combo is the best. Boldin has played through double coverage for over half a season and Green is the most gifted offensive mind for WRs and the fact that Larry is now taking coverage away fromn the guy. U have to think he will repeat if not IMPROVE on his #s.
(7) I personally think S.Alexander will have the post the best #s in 2004 of all the RBs taken in the expansion draft. (just a hunch tho)
(8) The Madden Division will be a tough one this year and im looking forward to the challenge. Travis Henry is the most underrated RB in fantasy football this year. Watch him just watch him.
(9) The Bears pulled of a great trade however, im sure 4inches would have pulled it off again to get his man - so i commend him as nobody saw the Peyton pick coming.
(10) Still curious why bears n Hammy didnt sign up to the mssg board to facilitate the draft.
(11) why didnt PEPSI protect Fred Taylor?
Thats all for now folks!!!
